6-Time World Champion Lumberjill Shana Verstegen lost her mother to this neurological brain disorder.

Through the Midwest Log Rolling championships she combines her two passions: lumberjack sports and fighting for a cure for Huntington’s Disease.

Money raised by the Midwest Log Rolling Championships will go directly to help research possible treatments and cures, local patient and family care, and community education in Wisconsin. On a larger scale, HDSA’s coordinated national and international research will also benefit people with diseases related to Huntington’s – diseases such as ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and many dystrophies.

SATURDAY JULY 11

U5 Coed non-ranking logrolling 4:30 check in 5:00 competition (round robin if under 6 participants)

U7 Coed logrolling , same time, competition follow U5 - Double elimination bracket

SATURDAY JULY 12 - we will push all the boom run times back 30 minutes to accommodate travel time, but can't go much later due to darkness

AMATEUR BOOM RUN - 2 timed run, one on each boom. best time will be used for placement. All USLRA rules will be used, but, do not need to finish with only sole of the foot, any finish will be allowed

12-15 Boys/Girls placement if 3 participant in each group

16 - 17 Boy/Girls placement if 3 participants in each group

5:30 warm up, judge meeting 5:50 competitor meeting 6:00 competition

PRO BOOM RUN all USLRA rules will be followed. Two runs, one on each boom, best of the two times for placement

Cash prize awarded for top 4 finish,

SUNDAY JULY 12

AMATUER LOG ROLL start 9:00 2-3 docks as needed, largest groups will go first

All USLRA rules will be followed. All participants must have current USLRA membership

PROFESSIONAL LOG ROLL start 9:00 Pro Men Pro Women to follow, approximate start 11:30

All USLRA rules will be follow, 2 docks can be used in needed

Minimum $5000.00 pay out, Equal to Men and Women, pay out to 8 places

January 12^th - Tickets are on sale now at: Tickets – Lumberjack World Championships

New this year is our Thursday Family Night - $65 for 2 adults and up to 5 kids. Giveaways, family meal deals and more!

March 31^st - Last Day for new Pro Athletes to submit their resumes to samantha.lasalle@birkie.com.

April 1^st - Pro Registration Opens – this will be sent out as an email invitation

April 30^th - Pro Registration Closes

May 4^th - Amateur Registration Opens

June 1^st - Amateur Registration Closes

June 1^st - Pro registrants are notified of acceptance

Please mark your calendars so you don’t miss any of these important dates. If you know of a pro athlete that would like to compete at LWC this year for the first time, or an athlete that hasn’t be at the competition in more than 3 years, please have them reach out to me at samantha.lasalle@birkie.com with their resume. If we do not have their email/resume prior to March 31, they will not receive an invitation.
